Named Flare Winner — Best Positive Impact

The University of Hertfordshire named Reclaimer Industries winner of the Best Positive Impact category at Flare 2026, its flagship enterprise competition. The award recognises the venture judged to deliver the greatest positive environmental and social impact — fitting for a company built on the idea that farming and ecology don't have to be in opposition.

'One to Watch' at the Hertfordshire County Show

We entered the Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire's Entrepreneurs Challenge at the County Show and came away with the 'One to Watch' category — recognising businesses with significant potential for impact. The award was gratifying. What we'll remember more is the conversations: farmers stopping at our stand, asking hard questions, staying longer than they planned. By the end of the weekend, we'd added over 2,000 acres to our trial pipeline.

A note on our formulation: we've temporarily removed animal by-products from our product. The science behind it is sound and we'll return to it — but the regulatory complexity was creating delays we couldn't justify when farms are telling us their soil needs help now. This was a deliberate choice: get something real into farmers' hands sooner, rather than wait for perfect.

UK Startup Awards Finalist — East of England

Reclaimer Industries was named a regional finalist for Innovative Startup of the Year in the East of England heat of the UK Startup Awards. The UK Startup Awards celebrate businesses where innovation is central — whether through technology, process, or approach. That is exactly what Reclaimer is about: rethinking how fertiliser works by working with biology instead of against it. We also reached the finals of Flare, the University of Hertfordshire's startup competition — one of the most competitive challenges in the region.

Pilot facility confirmed; building with farmers in the field

We established a formal R&D partnership with the University of Hertfordshire, securing a pilot production facility. Alongside this, we completed a residency at the Royal Agricultural University's Bridging Fields programme and visited organic farms across Gloucestershire. Those conversations — with over 120 UK farmers to date — have shaped how we think about this product. No one knows a farm better than the farmer.
